Final Course SelectionEvery golf course will have a standard agreement for tournaments; request a copy of the course’s agreement, along with their marketing materials, in advance. Be sure to review the agreement and make sure all the terms and items agreed upon during your discussions are included. For example, if the course says you can hang welcome banners and display signs, be sure that is in the agreement. Discovering the day of your event the banners and signs you promised your sponsors for visibility are now not available will undoubtedly cause a problem. Important Tips: 1. Previous patrons of your chosen golf course are a vital resource. Ask the golf course for referrals from other events and call them. Through their experiences you will better understand how best to work with the course and utilize their available resources to ensure you have great experience on event day. 2. You may also ask to visit the course during an actual, upcoming event. Doing this will give you the opportunity to learn first hand how the course operates and see what works well on event days.
