The 2nd Annual Wakefield High School Booster Club & Alumni Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday April 25, 2009. We are pleased to announce that The Honorable William T. Newman Jr., Chief Judge of the Circuit Court has accepted the role of “Honorary Chair” for the 2009 Wakefield High School Booster Club and Alumni Associations golf tournament. Judge Newman is a Wakefield graduate and Hall of Fame Inductee, class of ’68. All proceeds will benefit the Booster Club programs & Alumni Grants and Scholarship Programs.

This year's Booster Club special project is to replace the stadium scoreboard.

We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful Fairfax National Golf Club in Centreville, VA (www.fairfaxnationalgolfclub.com). The event will include a Captain's Choice, box lunch and awards receptions with dinner provided by Hard Times Cafe` Chili Parlor following the golf.

Featured events for the day will include: Every golfer will receive a free swing analysis by "Tips 4 Golf" an online resource for golf instruction. A Putting Contest, Three Hole-in-One Contests, Mulligans, Player Gifts, Prizes and Awards, Longest Drive Contest for men and women, Raffle, Silent Auction and much more.

During the tournament, Wakefield volunteers will be offered a free 30 minute swing lesson by the Fairfax National staff.
