Brian Holod Memorial Golf Outing

Please join us on Friday, September 26, 2008 for the 3RD ANNUAL BRIAN HOLOD MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING at Sweetbriar Golf Club. The purpose of this golf outing is to remember Brian, who served a 14-year tenure at St. John West Shore Hospital in dietary, dialysis, as an OU-COM student and graduate, and as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine before his untimely passing on January 1, 2006. This outing is the primary source of contribution to "THE BRIAN HOLOD MEMORIAL FUND" to benefit St. John West Shore Hospital & its Graduate Medical Education program which integrates medical students into their professional lives. We hope to reunite Brian's friends, fellow students and colleagues with other golf enthusiasts for a day of relaxation and fun!

We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful "Legacy 18" at the Sweetbriar Golf Club, 750 Jaycox Road, Avon Lake, OH (). Built in 2002 and 2007, the front and back 9's of Legacy offer two differing landscapes that create a diverse 18 holes. The front 9 is a links style layout with winding fairways and large greens. The back 9 of Legacy is built through a wooded landscape and offers a more traditional, East Coast feel to the golfer with natural wetlands areas and risk reward par fives.

The event is a 4-person scramble with a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start; registration, lunch & practice will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Featured events for the day will include: Prizes and Awards, Closest to the Pin Contest, Longest Drive Contest, 50/50 Raffle, and Auction. Soft spikes are mandatory on the course, and proper golf attire is required (no jeans, cut-offs or tank tops).

The registration fee of $100.00 includes boxed lunch, 18 holes at the new "Legacy 18", golf cart, and catered steak dinner. Early-Bird registration will be $90.00 until August 15, 2008. Cost of dinner only is $35.00 per person. Payments for registration may be made by either check or credit card (through a secure e-commerce gateway: authorize.net).
