The First Annual Nicholas Blanco Invitational

Please join us for the first annual golf tournament benefiting THE NICHOLAS BLANCO FOUNDATION www.nicksfoundation.com. Nicholas is a 2-year old toddler living in Ashburn Virginia. Nicholas is the youngest of 4 healthy, loving, busy boys who, in October 2007, suffered an “Anoxic Brain Injury” as a result of an extraordinary home accident which has left him with many severe disabilities. Since his accident, Nicholas has been resident at Loudon and Fairfax County Hospitals, Kluge at UVA and is currently in an intensive rehabilitation program at Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins.

In honor of Nicholas, The Nicholas Blanco Foundation has been established in support of fundraising events which will provide financial resources in support of brain injuries research, cutting edge technology, treatment, resource centers for parents who have children with brain injuries, and to create a public awareness of brain injuries in children.

How can you help? Please join us on May 5th 2008 and test your golf skills at the prestigious Belmont Country Club located in Ashburn, Virginia. All tournament participants will enjoy 18 holes on one of Arnold Palmer’s premier Signature Courses, followed by an Awards Reception at The Dock at Lansdowne to include a 50/50 Raffle, Silent Auction and multiple prize awards. This first event is designed specifically to provide financial assistance to the Blanco Family and to provide ongoing financial resources to families with similar needs.

The Nicholas Blanco Foundation is registered with the Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs, and is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Service.
