Please join us for the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament benefiting THE NICHOLAS BLANCO FOUNDATION www.nicholasfoundation.com. Nicholas is the youngest of 4 healthy, loving and busy boys. In October 2007, Nicholas suffered an “Anoxic Brain Injury” as a result of an extraordinary home accident, which has left him with many severe disabilities. Since his accident Nicholas has been resident at Loudoun and Fairfax County Hospitals, Kluge at UVA, has been an inpatient and is currently an outpatient at Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins. On behalf of Nicholas, The NICHOLAS BLANCO FOUNDATION has been established to help support fundraising efforts which will provide financial resources in support of brain injuries research, the victims of brain injuries and will supply information for parents and friends. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Please join us for a fabulous day of golf, fundraising, food and friends on April 27th 2009. All tournament participants will enjoy 18 holes on a championship Ault-Clark course at the prestigious, private River Creek Club, located at 43800 Olympic Blvd., Leesburg, VA. Following the tournament, there will be an awards ceremony at the course, a 50/50 Raffle, Silent Auction and multiple prize awards. The proceeds from this event will be assisting the family of Nicholas Blanco, with the continued medical bills that he accrues. Nicholas needs additional seating devices and durable medical equipment.The Nicholas Blanco Foundation will also be making a donation to Robert and Niki Fusillo. Robert is a survivor of a traumatic brain injury as a result of a car accident that occurred on December 26th. Rob has endured months of treatment including having multiple surgeries, gtube feeds, having a portion of his skull removed, a trache and infections that are a result of his condition. Although Rob is continuning to make progess, his wife Niki, has the daunting task of paying his medical bills. We hope to be able to help them in some way. The NICHOLAS BLANCO FOUNDATION is registered with the Virginia Department of Consumer Affairs and is a qualified 501(c)(3) charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Service.
