Colorado Bright Beginnings is the largest statewide
parenting
education organization in Colorado, serving
an average of
13,000 families per year!

Since the organization's founding in 1995, our programs have
benefited over 100,000 children across the state.

In 2006, Colorado Bright Beginnings was awarded the
prestigious Spencer and Julie Penrose Award for Outstanding
Nonprofit by the El Pomar Foundation.

Bright Beginnings serves nearly 1 out of every 6 newborns
born in Colorado each and every year.

Of the 13,000 families Bright Beginnings serves each year,
63% are low-income, 35% are Spanish speaking, and 26%
are single mothers.

Bright Beginnings's statewide programs are provided by 14
regional affiliates actively collaborating in local communities
throughout all of Colorado's 64 counties.

We know that our programs make a difference for Colorado
families. Evaluations of our programs show that:

  made
a positive difference in the way they interacted with
   their baby
.

92% felt that it made a positive difference in their child's
  development.

Parents who received a Bright Beginnings visit were
twice as likely to read to their children 6 or 7 nights a
  week.
