Please join us for the The 46th Annual Westapher Golf Tournament sponsored by the members of the Preston Center Rotary Club to benefit the Nexus Recovery Center on October 10, 2011.

A Tournament Tradition

Forty six years ago Father Westapher and some church members played a game of golf, to get better acquainted. At dinner following the round, they “passed the hat” and made a donation to charity. The ensuing tradition of fun, fellowship and giving has yielded hundreds of thousands for local worthy causes. Preston Center Rotary has hosted the tournament since Father Westapher stepped down.

Striving to meet the criteria of fun, fellowship and supporting a worthy organization, the Preston Center Rotary Club has chosen Nexus Recovery Center as this year’s recipient.

We will have a great day of golf at the beautifulGolf Club of Dallas.

The event will include a Charity Auction Dinner party on Sunday October 9th, and then, Monday October 10th, a day of golf on the PGA course of the 1950s & '60s, with lunch, tournament play (scramble format, four players per team), followed immediately by awards and hospitality. Note- Four holes will be played from the pro teeing areas, to give players a first hand look at the competition layout. A stroke will be given for the extra challenge. Expect some good scores, and lots of fun. Some "cash games" may be played after the scramble, ie. a putting game and a long-drive competition.
