Horizon's 8th Annual Golf Outing & Luau

The Association of Horizon, Inc. will be hosting its 8th annual Golf Outing & Hawaiian Luau on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the beautiful Links of Carillon in Plainfield, Illinois.

We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful The Links at Carillon in Plainfield, IL (www.carillongolf.com). Rated 4.5 Stars by Chicagoland Golf Magazine and called one of the “Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest. Known as the "Hidden Jewel", The Links at Carillon will challenge and reward golfers of all levels.

This unique event combines food, fun, entertainment and gamesmanship along with some of the most challenging 18 holes of golf this side of the PGA Tour all while supporting one of your favorite non-profit organizations. After an amazing day of golf, stick around for our annual Hawaiian Luau to finish off the night.

The golf outing will include the following:

>18 holes of golf and cart with Uplink GPS System
>Bag Drop Service
>Locker Room and Shower Privileges
>On-course games, including Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Most Accurate Drive
>A chance to win a Ford Mustang at our Hole-in-One Contest.

The luau is included in each golf package, and will feature the following:

>A delectable pig roast along with some savory side dishes
>4 hours of open bar containing beer, mixed drinks, wine, and Pop
>Dancing with live musical entertainment performed by “The Underdogs.”
>Ugliest Hawaiian Shirt Contest and Awards Ceremony
>Lots of Raffle prizes, ball buster prizes, and silent auctions

Registration begins at Noon, with golf beginning at 1 p.m. sharp (shotgun start), and the luau dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

*Luau tickets are only $55 each for those interested in just attending the Hawaiian Luau*

Registrations are also being accepted by mail for those who do not want to pay online, just print out and mail one of the flyers on the documents page.

We are currently looking for sponsors and donations for the event. We are also interested in volunteers to help us the day of the event, if you or know someone that may be interested please contact us.

Raffle tickets are currently being sold for the cash raffle that will be drawn the evening of the event. Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. There are five prizes ranging from $100-$500. If you are interested in selling raffle tickets, there is an added bonus. Sell $250 worth of raffle tickets then you get a free ticket to the luau dinner. That’s right, come to the luau for free which is as simple as asking 25 people for $10 and you will have the $250 worth.
