The Second Dennis Rohde Memorial Golf Outing

Please join us for The Second Dennis Rohde Memorial Golf Outing to benefit the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation (JKCRF) on September 18, 2010. Golf Fore Life made a donation of $9000 to the John Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation because of the outstanding support and generosity from our sponsors and participants from our first event. Our goal this year is to donate $14,000 and to see 120+ golfers enjoy our Second Golf Outing as well. I have faith that with your help, support and generosity we can meet our goals and make this event a success.

It is impossible to forget the reason why we are having our Second Dennis Rohde Memorial Golf Outing. Dennis was diagnosed with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) in October of 2005. Dennis spent his remaining years spending time with his family, his friends and living life like nothing was ever wrong with him. Despite all of the wonderful news from our past event there was yet another great life taken by cancer. John Kanzius lost his battle to cancer on February 18, 2009. Mr. Kanzius has brought so much hope to finding a non-invasive procedure to kill this deadly disease and to save lives without the debilitating side effects associated with current therapies. Mr. Kanzius waited patiently for the human clinical trials to start. Due to insufficient funding Human trials are taking longer than anticipated. Since the death of Mr. Kanzius, the Foundation has been receiving a lot of attention from celebrities and politicians. There is one supporter in particular that I would like to point out. Mr. Arnold Palmer which has already donated an autographed item to help us reach our goal. Dennis Rohde, John Kanzius and many others close to all of us may have lost their battle with cancer but their legacies, memories and will to live will remain with us forever. If you are not a golfer you can come to the Dinner and Silent Auction after the great day of golf or you can register as a Volunteer and help make our event another huge success.
