The Mission of Benevolent Missions of Atlanta, Inc. is dedicated to providing educational and financial assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk children in metropolitan Atlanta and the island of Jamaica.  BMA’s activities are focused on establishing and executing mentor programs for children and establishing computer laboratories in elementary schools in Jamaica.  BMA gives additional support and scholarships to students for books, lunch, transportation, and other needs.

Some of our programs include….

At the recommendation of Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent and BMA Advisory Board Member, Dr. Beverly Hall, Atlanta’s Sammy E. Coan middle school became the first school of choice for BMA’s local mentoring programs.

For several years, BMA facilitated a three week summer program for several students where they participated in programming, animation, robotics and computing sessions at Kennesaw State University’s College of Science & Mathematics.  The students in the program enjoyed the experience of working with, assembling and programming robots.

BMA established a computer laboratory consisting of several new high speed computers and printers at St. Ann’s Bay elementary school in Jamaica.  In addition, several needy 4th grade children were awarded scholarships.  The scholarships will be continued through 6th grade.  This year Seaward Primary in Olympic Gardens, Kingston will benefit from our efforts.

Our mission is achieved through fund- raising activities, volunteer initiatives, and sponsors.
