Little Slugger Golf Classic

The Little Slugger Golf Classic benefiting Carson Wiener will be held Monday, February 8, 2010 at San Diego’s only Tom Fazio designed golf course – The Grand Golf Club in Del Mar, California.

Carson Wiener was diagnosed with Leukemia on October 31, 2009 and he is bravely fighting his way back to good health under the care of Rady Children’s Hospital and with the support of his family, friends and our community. Since the family is not certain of the long-term prognosis, or what Carson's immediate care needs might be, the Wiener Family has elected that all proceeds directly benefit Carson. In the event that no special short-term assistance is needed, the proceeds will be used for future long-term care.

The cost for this scramble format event is $250 per player with all proceeds directly benefiting Carson Wiener. This price includes event entry, 18 holes of golf, cart, caddie, boxed lunch, and an awards reception. A spouse or guest can join the awards reception starting at 5:30PM for an additional $50 per person. Registration and sponsorship fees are not tax deductible as contributions go directly to the Wiener family and not to an established charitable organization.

Check-in begins at 11AM, with a shotgun start tee-off at 12PM.

Golf attire is required. Collared shirts and slacks or golf shorts. No steel spikes are allowed on the course. All participants must be at least 15 years of age.Gratuities for caddies are not included in the registration fee and are appreciated.
