Please join us for the Play 18 for a Cure Tournament on September 20, 2010, on the beautiful greens of The Golf Club at South River, in Edgewater, MD.

The Anne Arundel Women’s Golf Organization (AAWGO) is proud to host our inaugural charity golf tournament. The “Play 18 for a Cure” golf tournament is in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. We are excited about raising funds for breast cancer awareness, research and education.

From our commitment to raise funds for research and to find a cure, we have established the "Donate $5" program. The Donate $5 Program affords everyone the opportunity to support the Rally to the Cure. Especially, someone unable through playing, sponsoring, volunteering or taking out an advertisement can be apart of this rewarding venture. Our targeted goal is to raise $5,000.00 by September 20, 2010 from the Donate $5 Program. Your generous donations will be recognized at the tournament awards dinner. We need your help!

AAWGO is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 2007 to focus on the enhancement of youth in the state of Maryland. Our main focus is to introduce at risk youth to alternate activities that will stimulate their developing minds to achieve success. Using the principles of golf our mentoring program has measurable outcomes from the youth participants, visible through better grades, increased family participation and the willingness to volunteer in their communities. A portion of the proceeds, from this event, will go towards continuing to provide the valuable mentoring, golf and educational programs; through our on going commitment to enhance the lives of Maryland youth.

The competition will be 4-person Team Best Ball, with a Shot-Gun Start and will include a continental breakfast, box lunch, exciting contests, silent auction, amazing prizes and an awards dinner receptions, following the golf and more!
